Les Invasions Barbares

I'm not in the mood to write a movie review but I have three words for The Barbarian Invasions: WATCHIT, WATCHIT, WATCHIT! It's in French so if you can't speak the language or if you don't know how to read (the English subtitles), don't bother. At least,I can write that I did something worthwhile this weekend.

Word for the day
Missional: adj. relating to or connected to a religious mission

Heard this word from this morning's speaker at the Men's Breakfast.

On tampons, Sasha Cohen

Wag niyong seryosohin.

Tale of the PDA and how I almost saved money.

I have been itching to buy a PDA with gps for the last couple of days but I haven't had a chance to ask the wife. Until today. The wifey called from Japan today for some unrelated stuff and I asked her if I can buy this thingamajig. She said yes with one condition. In her sweetest voice, she asked me if she can also buy this $200- electronic Japanese/English dictionary. %$*#! @

sigh.

I said ok. 30% off on my purchase plus a $20-off coupon and it still felt like I spent too much today. Two hundred bucks for a dictionary!?

Advice to single men: buy the newest/latest/greatest gadget you can think of now. It will cost you more after you got hitched.

Note to self: stop itching.

Winter Gimik!

Brrr. Drove for two hours going to Red Fish Lake between Sun Valley and Stanley last January. The road was blocked by three feet of snow! The wifey was smiling, though. Probably because I did ALL the driving. (Not entirely true. She drove starting from Shoshone to Boise.)

Mickey looked so gay. I mean happy. Two of our guests from the Land Down Under. Wait, that's Australia. I mean Land of the Rising Sun. Japan.
Nothing to see in Boise so we have to drag our guests across three different states.

Twin Falls, Idaho. Buti na lang may tubig! Who's the girl? Oh yeah, the wife. Hmp. Still smiling.
